Description: At 137,000 acres, the Hayman Burn is still the largest single fire in Colorado history. 204 square miles of pure devastation- as the image shows. This site is filmable, but is more remote than most. AT 20 miles from Woodland Park it requires 5.5 miles of travel on very good dirt road, and .5 mile travel on difficult dirt road. It was passable by my little Saturn- but large trucks might want to stay the ½ mile away where parking and turn-arounds are easier. Due to it’s size: there are many sites available with in the burn.
